Bridal Shower Extravaganza!!

So, last weekend my maid of honor and bridesmaids threw me a bridal shower! It was so much fun and so beautiful. Kristin really put a lot of thought and hard work into making it absolutely perfect. I could not have asked for a better shower than that. The food was really good and the cake was delicious! I love cake so that part was really important to me. :) She matched my wedding colors so everything was purple and burgundy at the shower.
I am so thankful for my family and friends that made it special for me. We got a lot of wonderful gifts and cards. Everyone shared a story about me, some were a little embarrassing. :) But for the most part they were funny and sweet! Overall, it was a great party! Thank you everyone!!
After the shower, me and 7 others went to see New Moon!! I purchased the tickets online the week before so we could make sure that we had tickets. The showing didn't start until 10:10 but we were there around 8:15 so we could make sure we got good seats and we did!! We waited in line for about an hour waiting to go in the theater but we were the 3rd group in line. Not to mention the fact that we strategized the best way to get good seats. Our plan was to split up, half go one way and half the other once we got in the theater and meet in the middle with the best seats. So....like dorks, we ran into the theater and got great seats....only to conclude that we definitely could have walked in leisurely because about 10 minutes later there was still good seats left. lol New Moon did not disappoint either! It was such a good movie and I want to see it again!
Also, this week was Thanksgiving. :) This is Jesse's favorite holiday so he was pretty stoked about all the yummy food and, of course, football. I started the day out by going with my mom and dad to watch my mom run a half-marathon at 8am. It was fun and I got some good pictures. She beat her goal and ran it in 2hrs 8min. Which is pretty awesome! For lunch, we went over to my grandmas to eat and visit with family. We had a great time over there. That evening we went to Jesse's parents for more food and family!! It was such a good day and we really have so much to be thankful for this year. Starting with family and friends, but also that we have jobs and can put food on the table. We are also thankful for our new home and love for each other. Next year has a lot in store for us I'm sure since our wedding is in January. :)

Jesse's 24th Birthday!

So, for Jesse's birthday on the 14th, we went to Buffalo's to watch the Gator game. Jesse actually won a tailgate party for him and 10 friends to go and eat wings and drink beer. He chose to do it on his birthday which worked out great. The Gators won and we had a great time! A few of us went back to our house and ate oysters and watched more football as well. Yay!
Also, on Sunday we had Jesse's family over to the house to watch the Jags game and eat lunch. We were planning on meeting at Olive Garden around 5pm but plans changed so we supplied the house and they supplied the food. (It was Olive Garden To-Go by the way..yum) It was good to see everyone. We hadn't seen Nana or Mikayla in a while so it was great to spend time with them. It was also Mikayla's first time to our new house and meeting Roscoe. She loved Roscoe and Max! She may have played with them more than she talked to any of us. :) I have some pictures from Jesse's Birthday as well as Heather and Alan's wedding that I am adding on here. The wedding was absolutely beautiful and turned out perfect. Everyone had a great time!

Starting the month off with a bang..

It's only November 7th and already we are busy busy busy. It seems that I say that a lot but it's only because it's true! Jesse and I both worked all week of course. I had Thursday off and that was a good thing because I really got so much accomplished. I was able to book the caterer for the wedding, order wedding favors, buy stamps for the invitations, and print address labels for the invitations. That was only the wedding things I got accomplished. I also went by the see Collin for the first time! He is so tiny and so sweet. When I held him, he didn't even cry. He opened his eyes and was just staring at me. He was probably wondering who in the heck I was but that's okay! :) Erin and Devin are extremely happy to have their new addition and it shows! They are going to be great parents.
I also went by to see Jen and Emma. They just moved back to Jacksonville last weekend and I am so happy about that. They are currently renting a house in Ortega since they were not able to sell the house in Auburndale. Emma is getting so big and she is so animated and funny! So far, everything is going well with Jen's pregnancy with Lola! Jen is one of my bridesmaids and she is due Jan 9th. Just before the wedding!
My family also had a bit of a scare on Thursday when Fort Hood had a shooting on base. Brad is stationed there now and it was very nerve wracking when we weren't able to get a hold of him. Thankfully, he called us when he got to a phone to let us know that he was okay. We are thanking God for that but also praying for the soldiers and families of the wounded and dead. It's sad that good soldiers that were still home on base had to die that way. You come to expect things like that when they are deployed, not that it makes it any easier to deal with, but to be home and have something like that happen is frustrating.
Last night, Jesse and I went to Heather and Alan's rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. The dinner was at Maggiano's in the town center. The dinner was delicious! Jesse is one of Alan's groomsmen. Today is the wedding!! They are getting married at Riverside United Methodist Church. It's a beautiful church. The reception will be at the River City Brewing Company. I hope to get some good pictures of Jesse all dressed up in his tux. :)
